Comano Terme, Italy
My other home is northern Italy where my partner originates from, a fertile valley between the Brenta Group of mountains in the Dolomitti and Lake Garda, it's well known regionally for walnut trees and the healing waters of Comano Terme spa.
The weather is dynamic, hot summer temperatures stoke massive thunder and lightning storms. The winters are good fun with occasional 1m high dumps of snow making getting about difficult.
Pictures below of the last week in November 2010 and the first big dump of snow.
No I can't speak the language yet but it is seeping in slowly and its not for the lack of wanting to. I would love to be as fluent as John Kirwan. The day I saw him commentating a rugby game in Italian was a real eye opener. Something to try in the colder months me thinks.
